The Tampa Bay Lightning are still involved in a bevy of trade rumors as their off season continues.  Both rumors involve Brian Burke, the GM for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The first sounds like this,
The Maple Leafs general manager shot down a rumour that he would send the Leafs’ seventh overall pick in the NHL entry draft next month to the Tampa Bay Lightning for the second pick overall and right winger Ryan Malone. The Tampa Bay Lightning have officially entered contract talks to remove the “interim” tag and make Rick Tocchet the Head Coach of the Bolts. As a fairly observant fan of the game, I agree with the Lightning brass on this one. Rick did a good job with what was available to him last season, especially having to deal with excessive injuries and what we can only guess were terrible coaching strategies put in place by Barry “Steve Stamkos sucks” Melrose.
