Bolts Lose in Shootout

Tonight the Tampa Bay Lightning lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in a shootout. The final score was 2 to 1. For some reason, unknown to all lightning fans, the second game of the season was not televised so I can’t do too much commenting on how we played. We had 30 shots on net, compared to Carolina’s 29. Ryan Malone tallied the lone goal of the night for Bolts. Mike Smith ended the game with a .96 save percentage, and a second star of the game.

So to recap, we have lost both of our first two games, one in overtime. But i’m not mad yet. We still seem to be attacking the net quite a bit better than last year. Our next game is our home opener against New Jersey. Hopefully we can get our first win of the season then!
