As reported by Erik Erlendsson via Twitter this morning, Tampa Bay has recalled goaltender Cedrick Desjardins from the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL.
But according to Erlendsson, this does not necessarily mean a move is forthcoming by the Bolts. He says the move had been planned for over a month.
The 25-year-old Desjardins, who was acquired over the summer from the Montreal Canadiens’ organization in exchange for Karri Ramo, has been very good for the Admirals this season. He has posted a 12-5-1 record, a 2.63 goals-against average, and a .900 save percentage (statistics via Hockeydb.com).
