The Tampa Bay Lightning season is over and the $35-million renovation plan on the Bolts’ home arena, the St. Pete Times Forum, has begun. The renovations to the arena, which includes full private suite overhauls, new seating and flooring, a new kitchen and sports dining room, and new front entrance, began almost immediately once the Bolts’ season ended. Although the uncertainty of the length of the team’s season was originally a scheduling concern for contractors, the renovations are now showing good signs of being complete by October, just in time for the Lightning’s home opener next season.
The NHL and Tampa Bay Lightning club are keeping fans up-to-date on the construction through a series of online videos showcasing some of the new changes. The first of such videos has now been released, and here it is:
