Around The League In 30 Days: Washington

Every year it seems The Capitals are pressured with heavy expectations. With seven division championships and one conference championship under their belt, they have never won a Stanley Cup. They made it into the second round of the 2010-2011 play-offs, only to be swept by The Lightning in four games. This eliminated them and finished their season. As heart breaking as it was for their fans to be so close yet so far from The Cup, they are rallying once again as it’s the start of a new season.

There will be a lot of new faces and numbers on the ice to get used to. Slowly but surely they are putting together a dream team who will shock the NHL and take the lead. They don’t listen to predictions and standings. They focus on one thing: Their game. With Ovechkin, Knuble, Chemera, and Semin in the wings, they will have a strong team this year and will definitely be a team to keep your eyes on.
