Tampa Bay Lightning’s 1-3-1 System

During the first period of Tampa Bay Lightning’s overtime win tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers, a play known as the 1-3-1 forecheck, came into play. This play has been used frequently by the Lightning since Guy Boucher took over coaching last year. During the play, the Flyers were refusing to play the puck, which got people stirring. Therefore, a few hockey fans and commentators were debating on whether plays like the 1-3-1 forecheck should be outlawed in the NHL.

Should the NHL outlaw plays like the 1-3-1 forecheck?
