Steve Yzerman and the Bolts have reached far across the pond to sign Goaltender Sebastien Caron from the Iserlohn Roosters.
Caron has had NHL experience before, being drafted #86 overall in Round 3 by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. Caron has seen NHL level experience with a number of NHL teams since 1999; the Penguins, Blackhawks and Ducks, playing in a total of 91 NHL games most of which with the Penguins.
This season he has been playing in Germany for the Iserlohn Roosters. In 42 appearances he has a GAA of 2.57 and a Save Percantage of 0.932.
With the signing of Caron, this is most likely the end of Dustin Tokarski’s run with the Lightning. On Monday the official announcement of the signing is due, we should see Tic sent back to Norfolk to aid in the Admirals Calder Cup bid.
