The season is winding down quickly, and so is the playoff hopes. Some never thought The Lightning would make it, some expected them to take it all the way. The loss to Buffalo was devastating. Even more injuries plague the team, as just before the game it was announced that Adam Hall would be joining Nate Thompson on the injury list, and now Ryan Shannon is said to be out for the rest of the season to recover from shoulder surgery. There is no set time line for return of Mathieu Garon or team captain Vinny Lecavalier. Coach Boucher said that he has never seen anything like this in his life. Yet he still keeps fighting. The players keep fighting. They have to. If playing for nothing more than pride, they will continue to fight. Dustin Tokarski was reassigned to Norfolk. Labrie and Smith, are sticking around, for now. A new face to expect on the ice soon is acquired goal tender Sebastien Caron. On a positive note Bruno Gervais made his return with a goal and an assist on Monday. The Bolts come head to head with the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night.
