Today the Tampa Bay Lightning announced the signing of University of Minnesota-Duluth Winger J.T. Brown to a 2-year entry level contract.

Brown, who is known for his speed and shot, just finished his sophomore campaign with the Bulldogs, playing 39 games, during which he notched 24 goals and 23 assists.

He is expected to join the Bolts to finish out the season, thereby wiping out the first year of his contract.
