The New York Rangers Advance To The Eastern Conference Finals

The Washington Capitals can dust off their golf clubs, their season is over. Caps fans, players, and staff, you have absolutely nothing to hang your heads about. It was a great series! A great matchup. They pushed it to a game 7 and only lost by one goal. Now it’s time for Holtby to focus on being a daddy, and it’s time for the New York Rangers to focus on sharpening their pitchforks. They take on the New Jersey Devils in the Eastern Conference Finals. The series begins on Monday. The L.A. Kings take on the Phoenix Coyotes tomorrow night to begin the Western Conference Finals. So this  year’s Stanley Cup Finals will be either the Rangers or the Devils against the Kings or the Coyotes. I want the Rangers to take it all the way, but I’m calling the Devils to take that series in six. Since Mike Smith has been making much wiser decision about is puck chasing fetish, I see the Coyotes taking that series in seven. Here’s a box score recap of tonight’s game where the Rangers won 2-1.
