Ryan Shannon Wont Return To The Tampa Bay Lightning

Shannon, a right-winger who spent the past year in a Lightning sweater has signed a 3-Year contract with ZSC Lions of the Swiss-A League.

Having only signed a one year contract with Tampa Bay during the past off-season, he was already set to become an unrestricted free agent.  Shannon, who was no stranger to injury this past campaign, only played in 45 games with the Lightning, during which he notched four goals, eight assists, and had a +/- of -11.

In his six year NHL career Shannon has suited up for four different teams: Anaheim, Vancouver, Ottawa, and Tampa Bay.  Playing in 305 NHL games he has scored 35 goals and 64 assists.
