The Tampa Bay Lightning are searching for their 2012-2013 Lightning Girl team.
The requirements are that you must be 18 years of age at the time of the interview and you must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Submit a resume, a 5×7 head shot, and a 2 minute video via web link or DVD expressing why you would like to be a Lightning Girl, and what talents or unique skills you may have.
Not required, but preferred, is knowledge of hockey, ability to ice skate, dance, and cheer. You musts be comfortable performing in front of a large crowd and have an outgoing personality.
Auditions to become a Lightning Girl will be held on Sunday, July 29 at the USF Sun Dome. Registration is at 10AM and will last an hour auditions will start promptly at 11AM. Those interested in trying out are asked to bring photo identification, a head shot and a resume to the audition. Those who advance will be brought back in early August for interviews.
The Lightning Girls engage and entertain fans at all Lightning home games and appear at various appearances throughout the Bay Area each year. They create an energetic social tone by providing inspiration, enthusiasm and support for the hockey team. They encourage positive attitudes, healthy lifestyles, work ethic, discipline and determination while serving as ambassadors who recognize the importance of civic outreach, charity involvement and proudly giving back to the community.
