Tampa Bay Lightning Sign Dmitry Korobov

The Tampa Bay Lightning signed former KHL defenseman Dmitry Korobov to a two way, two year contract today. In three seasons, Korobov has played in 82 games with the Dynamo Minsk of the Kontinential Hockey League. In that time, he recorded two goals, twenty points, and racked up forty-six penalty minutes. He scored a goal and three points in three playoff games with Minsk.

This 6’3″ 230 pound 23 year old defenseman is a native of Novopolotsk, Belarus. In 2006 he skated in the under World Under 18 Championships. He played in the 2007 World Juniors, and he has represented his country in the past three IIHF World Championships.
