Lockout Opinion

While everyone is upset about not coming to a decision, and being very far apart on a new CBA…  the time to take time to get the economics of the NHL right has come.  We are on the verge of a fourth lockout, but I say…  so what?

Let them hash this out…  yes, the fans do matter (and we always come back after things like this happen).  The NHL has been riding alot of success, but that clearly is not translating to increased profits for some teams.  Other teams are riding the wave to being very successful and making lots of money.

So, before I start ranting… and mumbling.  Let this play out the way it was meant to.  For the long-term success of the sport this needs to be done…  and, be done right.

Bob Goodenow, when the last lockout happened while he was NHLPA Director, predicted another lockout would happen.  Clearly, the economic side of the sport is not right and needs to be resolved once and for all.

Whatever  it takes… However long it takes!
