Sun Sports To Air Tampa Bay Lightning’s Inaugural Game

On October 7, 1992, the Tampa Bay Lightning played it’s inaugural game at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall. They faced the Chicago Blackhawks, and won 7-3. Chris Kontos scored the first goal, one of four in that game. To this day it is still a franchise record for the most goals scored by a single player in a game. The arena was sold out, and the Bolts made their debut in front of 10,425 people.

Sun Sports will be airing this classic game on Thursday, October 18 at 8:00 pm. Who cares about CSI? DVR it!! They will continue to air classic games on Thursday nights.
