On October 7, 1992, the Tampa Bay Lightning played it’s inaugural game at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall. They faced the Chicago Blackhawks, and won 7-3. Chris Kontos scored the first goal, one of four in that game. To this day it is still a franchise record for the most goals scored by a single player in a game. The arena was sold out, and the Bolts made their debut in front of 10,425 people.
