No Cons for Connolly

The Syracuse Crunch have done little wrong this season in the AHL thus far, and a big part of that is consistent contribution from players on the team. This week, Brett Connolly has been deemed the Lightning Prospect Performer of the Week. Brett Connolly has been playing with some high level competition lately, playing with the Lightning last season, while also taking a trip to Canada to play in the Junior tournament. This season, Connolly has contributed to a team that is tied for first in the conference early in the season.

In three games last week, Connolly scored three goals and assisted on two, helping the Crunch win all three games last week. When Lightning fans look up and down the lineup of our AHL affiliate, they must feel highly comfortable with the future. The Lightning organization has done a great job of drafting and developing prospects, and it has shown heavily in the last year and a quarter for the AHL affiliate. Of course, the farm team was located in Norfolk last year, when the team won the AHL Championship. This year, the same group of players is playing in Syracuse.
