Over the Lightning’s 20 years of existence, there have been many people in and out of the organization. Many of those names most people don’t even remember. Many of the names are still household talk to this day. Legends have been born through the team, and legends have passed through, letting us enjoy their talent for the short while they were here. Over the summer, fans had the opportunity to go to 20yearsofthunder.com and vote for the top 20 Lightning personnel. From the beginning to current, the fans have spoken with their top picks. I agree with the list. For the most part. Brian Bradley made the list, which was it’s saving grace. Guy Boucher, however did not. How can you not pick Guy Boucher??!!?!?! That alone is enough reason to make me boycott the list, and question the sanity of the Tampa Bay fans. I know, not everyone feels the same way that I do. But come one. It’s Guy Boucher!!
Phil Esposito made the list, of course. As he should. The Lightning would not be here if it wasn’t for Espo. There were a total of 14 skaters, 2 goalies, 2 coaches (Not Guy Boucher. Yes, I’m bitter.), and 2 general managers (including Esposito, the founder). Only three of the current players made it. You guessed it, the ‘big three’ Vinny, Marty, and Stamkos. There were 3 1st overall NHL Draft picks, including Stamkos. 10 are from the Stanley Cup Champion team. However, just in case I have not expressed my shock, Guy Boucher did not make the list. Here is the list:

Like I said, I agree with most of the list. I can’t fault Lightning fans for their passion! I want to be clear that, while I do think Guy Boucher is such an inspiration, I am only joking with the whining about him not making the list. Here’s to 20 more years of thunder!! 20 more years of legends, and 20 more years of Lightning hockey!!
