Tampa Bay Lightning Captain Vincent Lecavalier Day-To-Day With Bone Bruise

Tampa Bay Lightning Captain Vincent Lecavalier is designated as day-to-day with a bone bruise on his left foot.

In the final seconds of Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the New York Rangers, Lightning Defenseman Sami Salo fired a slap shot from the blue line which made contact with Lecavalier. He was able to get to his feet and leave the ice under his own volition.

Lecavalier has already had x-rays performed on the injury, and will continue to be monitored in the upcoming days.

The Captain has 4 goals and 7 assists for a total of 11 points in the eight games played so far this season.

The Lightning start a four-game road trip that begins this Tuesday as they take on the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center.

We here at Bolts by the Bay wish the Captain a speedy recovery, and hope he’ll be back out on the ice soon.
