Tampa Bay Lightning Recall Pierre-Cedric Labrie, Brendan Mikkelson

Tampa Bay Lightning General Manager Steve Yzerman announced today that they have recalled forward Pierre-Cedric Labrie and defenseman Brendan Mikkelson from Syracuse. They were sent down on a two week conditioning assignment. Also announced today by Coach Guy Boucher was that defenseman Sami Salo will not be in the line up tomorrow. He is listed as day to day with a lower body injury, but will travel with the team. Mathieu Garon will start the four game road trip in net.

Labrie has played in a total of 39 games this season with the Syracuse Crunch, the Lightning’s American Hockey League affiliate. He has scored 11 goals and 18 points in those games, and notched 83 penalty minutes. In his 3 games that he has played with the Lightning this season, he recorded 5 penalty minutes. While on the 2 week stint in Syracuse, he skated in 7 games with the Crunch, recorded 3 goals and 2 assists giving him a +5 rating. Mikkelson also skated in 7 games while Syracuse. He scored 1 goal, assisting in a +4 rating.
