The Lightning didn’t hold on to their second period slump. In fact, they were great! There were only two penalties, both by the Lightning. There were two goals, also both by the Lightning. Palat gets his first NHL point, assisting Tom Pyatt with the second goal. Also on the assist was Nate Thompson. Steven Stamkos continues his game point streak with the Lightning’s first goal of the game, assisted by Victor Hedman and Martin St. Louis. They have advanced the Shots On Goal with 12, the Penguins have 9. Anders Lindback has taken the net and is gaining more confidence with every save. He was put in when Mathieu Garon left the game with an undisclosed injury that will have him out for at least the rest of the game tonight.
