Mathieu Garon listed as Day-To-Day with a Lower Body Injury

After making a tough stretch save on Evgeni Malkin in the opening minutes of the second period in last night’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Mathieu Garon left the game, under his own power, but would not return for the remainder.

Anders Lindback was brought in as his relief.

After further evaluation, Garon has been listed as Day-To-Day with a Lower Body Injury.

Garon told the media today that he felt much better, and did not expect to miss much time.

However, as a precaution, the Lightning have recalled goaltender Cedrick Desjardins from the Syracuse Crunch to suit up as back up for Lindback tonight.
