They are up 3-0 after a goal by Martin St. Louis, assisted by Alexander Killorn and Vincent Lecavalier, and Killorn assisted by St. Louis and Lecavalier. That line seems to be working out nicely. 5 penalties were handed out, a couple of scrimmages took place. As New Jersey falls further down the hole and the Lightning are anxious to hold on to their lead, tempers are heating and tension is building. The Devils pulled their back up goaltender and put in their back up back up goal tender. The shots on goal were the Lightning 10, Devils 4.

CORRECTION the shots on goal for the first period were the Devils 10, the Lightning 4.
