The Tampa Bay Lightning are hosting Fan Choice Awards throughout the month of May, and you can take part by voting now!

The top goal was voted on already. You can see a video of the nominees here. Fans picked Steven Stamkos‘ diving goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Here is that amazing goal: #Stammertime

The best photograph was voted on, and a photo of Nate Thompson won. He is skating off of the ice during the Washington Capital’s game where he was hit in the face with a puck, his shield smashed into pieces, and his face was bloodied. It was a miracle that he wasn’t hurt beyond a cut. To view that photo, as well as the other nominees, click here.

We have until 5pm tomorrow night to vote for the Best Game. You can go to the site to see all of the nominees and vote here. The choices are the OT win vs Florida, Bolts win over the Sens 6-4, Alex Killorn‘s goal with 15.1 seconds to go against the New Jersey Devils, or the Martin St. Louis hattrick? It’s a toss up between the Killorn goal or Marty’s hattrick for me personally.

The schedule is as follows:

May 7th Top Goaltender Save

May 8th Top Rookie (Though I fear the best rookie was traded to Ottawa…)

May 9th Top Hit (I’m not trying to sway your vote in any way *Radko Gudas* but take alook at the nominees *Fear The Beard*

May 10th Best Fan Instagram Photo (Oh boy, I can hardly wait!! *insert sarcasm here*)

May 13th Unsung Hero (I don’t know who the nominees will be on this one, but it has Nate Thompson on the picture. I imagine he will be one of the nominees. My vote would go for Vincent Lecavalier, but I doubt they’d consider him ‘unsung’ as he’s one of the Top Three and the captain of the team. Alex Killorn gets my vote! I hope he’s a nominee.)

May 14th Top Defenseman (Not trying to say you at all *Radko Gudas* However if you vote Radko you’ll get a unicorn and all of the skittles in the world. *Fear The Beard*)

May 15th Top Forward (*insert more sarcasm here* Gee, it couldn’t be an amazing player with lots of Heart And Soul or a fast little blonde Canadian, could it? I think it’s a give-in. Though Marty deserves it, Stamkos will more than likely take this one. And it will too be deserved.) will

They won’t let us see the nominees for the upcoming categories yet, so you’ll just have to go to the Lightning’s voting website to check them out by the day. Look for links for the winners on The Hub.

I think that it’s pretty cool that they are doing this. Some will disagree and say that it’s cheesy, however, I think it’s great. It’s a way to stay connected with the fans during the offseason and be interactive. It’ll be fun to vote and see the results! You should vote! To vote, just view the categories on the Lightning’s page (link listed above) and view the nominees. Click on the one that you want, and it takes you to twitpolls.com with a link for that specific poll on that particular day, or it gives you a hashtag to use. If you Tweet @TBLightning and use the hashtag given, that will count as a vote. I just voted for the Alex Killorn’s goal with 15 seconds to go.

With 16 hours remaining, #VoteKillorn is in the lead with 53%. #VoteStLouie is in second place so far with 28%. 10% have voted both #VoteSens and #VoteOTWin. Only 40 votes have been cast so far. Come on Bolts Nation, let your voice be heard!
