Happy Friday, ladies and gentlemen of the Bolts Nation! Welcome back to this week’s addition of Around the Twitterverse, where we gather the top tweets from in and around the Bolts Nation and bring you all of the hockey news and opinion that 140 characters can handle.

We have all made it through another grueling week of the NHL off-season.

Normally, I would try to narrow the tweets down to one particular topic, but there is just so much going on this week that I have decided to open it up to a number of different things.

So, without further ado, I give to you this week’s Tweets of the Week From Around the Bolts Nation.

As some of you may already know, Tampa Bay Lightning Feature Reporter Brittany Zion has decided not to return to the Lightning organization next season.

Fans have already taken to Twitter to express their feelings on the matter.

This sentiment seems to be shared among many fans in the Lightning Community.

Another topic Lightning up the various Social Media sites has been the announcement of the Tampa Bay Lightning preseason schedule.

The preseason kicks off this year in Orlando as the Lightning face off with the St. Louis Blues at the Amway Center in Orlando. Then, the very next day, the action returns home to the Tampa Bay Times Forum as the Lightning take on the Nashville Predators.

Here is what fans have been saying about the upcoming preseason.

I know what you mean. I have been thinking the same thing since the last game of last season.

What better way to spend your birthday than at a Tampa Bay Lightning home game? That’s usually where I am every season for mine.

Exactly.

This week, the Lightning organization has been making renovations to the Lightning locker room.

This fan may just be on to something.

Don’t forget about the extra height we added on defense this season. What are they feeding these guys?

The Tampa Bay Times Forum gave us a little more on the renovations via their Instagram account.

I’ll have to admit, it is pretty weird seeing the locker room all torn apart.

The last topic we’ll touch on this week has been the newest player signings this week. As I am sure you are already aware, the Tampa Bay Lightning has re-signed both defenseman Mark Barberio and right wing J.T. Brown.

I’ll admit, I am pretty happy about both of those signings myself.

Well, there you have it; you’re top tweets of the week from in and around the Bolts Nation. Make sure to check back with us next week to see what’s going on in the Bolts Nation during the next week of off season, or as I like to call it, the torture known as the time in between hockey.
