The Late Late Show with Tampa Bay Lightning

This week will be a true test of my stamina.

Well, maybe a true test of the power of caffeine.

Tonight our fabulous Tampa Bay Lightning begin a swing shift of games out west, starting with the Los Angeles Kings at 10:30 eastern tonight, and the games will be televised for our viewing pleasure.  I do plan on staying up and watching ’till the victorious end.  Yes, I practice the power of positive thinking.

And by positive thinking, I’m referring to the furtive hope that I will stay awake for the whole game, each and every one.  Which they will win, of course, so I don’t need to address that.

I confess I did not prepare properly by taking a mid-afternoon nap to bolster my energy stores.  I function most effectively with 8-9 hours’ of sleep, and though I do not have to get up early tomorrow morning to go to a job, I do have to get up and take care of my pets and their various nutritional needs and bodily function requirements.

They can be pretty selfish that way.

Anyway, I hope that you all will join me in spirit if not in body and continue to cheer on our amazing, top-of-the-conference team to inevitable victory in tonight’s contest as well as those scheduled for the rest of this week.  I’m sure Stammer will be awake watching, too.  (Hmm, maybe he’d like some company, though I’m guessing he probably already has some.)

In any event, Go Bolts!

And thank goodness for DVR.
