Ben Bishop To Get The Start Today Against the Montreal Canadiens

I think the entire Bolts Nation just breathed a collective sigh of relief. Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop took pre-game warm ups with the team today at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Fortunately, Bishop felt solid between the pipes and is ready to take the start tonight against the Montreal Canadiens.

Tampa Bay Lightning fans were in a panic after Bishop was forced to leave the game against the Ottawa Senators in the early moments of the game on Thursday. To make matters worse, after being barreled over by Cory Conacher in the second period allowed for goaltender Anders Lindback to sustain a Lower Body Injury. To his credit, he did continue to play in the game despite his injury. This is a serious credit to his heart and determination.

This season, Bishop has been a driving force of this Lightning team. In the 40 games he has skated in this season with the Tampa Bay Lightning, he has gone 26-7-4 with a Goals Allowed Average of 2.01 and a Save Percentage of .932.

All season long, Bishop has cemented his place as one of the top goaltenders in all the NHL. He has been a mainstay in the Top 5 goaltenders in all goaltending categories in the NHL.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are just moments away from puck drop in the Bell Centre. It is time to kick some ice against the Montreal Canadiens. Are you ready Bolts Nation?
