Things are starting to heat up in the Men’s Hockey Competition at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. Today starts the Quarterfinal Round, which means that we are in a single game elimination round.

In this encounter, the number one seed will be taking on the number eight seed. Which means that Detroit Red Wings right wing Daniel Alfredsson and Team Sweden will be going head to head with Los Angeles Kings center Anze Kopitar and Team Slovenia.

The winner of the encounter will move on to the next round to face the winner of the Team Finland vs. Team Russia game.
