NHL Draft 2014: First Round Selection Order

Here is a look at the selection order in the first round of the 2014 NHL Draft.

There is no denying that tonight is one of the most vital nights in the National Hockey League when it comes to building a championship team; the 2014 NHL Draft.

Tonight, all of the greatest young talent in the world of hockey will converge on the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; home of Claude Giroux and the Philadelphia Flyers in the hopes of being selected by an NHL team, thus beginning their journey into professional hockey.

Also converging on Philly tonight will be all of the league’s General Managers, Scouting Agents, and other various team staff ready to make a deal to fill some of their team’s greatest needs and build their team of the future; hopefully finding their next big star.

Here is a look at the official selection order for the first round of the draft, which kicks off at 7:00 p.m. EST tonight on the NBC Sports Network and TSN.

Who the Tampa Bay Lightning will pick is not as abundantly clear as it was last year. We all know what the Lightning’s needs are at the moment; however, the question still lies in which one of those needs will Yzerman choose to fill first?

I guess we’ll have to watch and find out.

For all the information you’ll need on how to watch tonight’s festivities at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly, you can check out our live stream page.

Who do you think Yzerman will pick with our two selections in the first round? What do you think is the Lightning’s greatest need going into tonight’s draft? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
