Here is a look at the updated Tampa Bay Lightning available selections in the 2014 NHL Draft.

Tampa Bay Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman has been a wheeling and dealing machine today.

Yzerman got the party started early when he traded our second round pick in this year’s draft to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for defenseman Jason Garrison, the rights of Jeff Costello, and a 7th Round Pick in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Then, with the first pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, Yzerman took a risk and went with gritty defenseman Anthony Deangelo of the Sarnia Sting in the Ontario Hockey League.

Just when the Tampa Bay Lightning fans thought they were going to find out who the next member of the Bolts Nation was going to be, Yzerman made yet another deal.

He traded our 28th overall pick in the first round to the New York Islanders in exchange for the 35th and 57th overall picks in the second round of this year’s draft.

So, obviously, this changes things up a little bit.

Here is a look at the updated list of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s selections in the 2014 NHL Draft taking place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Tampa Bay Lightning’s 2014 NHL Draft Selection Positions
Round 1 19th and (28th pick traded to NYI for the 35th and 57th overall picks)
Round 2 5th and 27th of the round / 35th and 57th overall
Round 3 20th of the round / 80th overall
Round 4 None
Round 5 20th and 22nd of the round / 140th and 142nd overall
Round 6 20th of the round / 170th overall
Round 7 20th of the round / 200th

With all of the changes Yzerman has made in this year’s draft there is no telling what he plans to do next; however, if the second round goes anything like the first one, it will definitely be anything but boring.
