NHL Draft 2014: Tampa Bay Lightning Select Dominik Masin: Fans React

The Tampa Bay Lightning have made their second pick in the 2014 NHL Draft. Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman has announced that the Lightning have selected defenseman Dominik Masin of Slavia Jr.

Last year, despite fans’ assertions of our needs on defense, the organization shied away from picking up any defensemen; however, that has all changed this year.

Yzerman made a deal early yesterday that saw the Lightning acquire defenseman Jason Garrison from the Vancouver Canucks.

Then, with their first pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, the Bolts chose gritty defenseman Anthony Deangelo.

Now, we have our third defenseman in a row, Dominik Masin.

It seems as if Yzerman is making a strong push to get some solid defensemen into the system. This tells me that we may be looking at a lot of movement at Development Camp this year when it comes to some of the defensemen that we currently have in the system.

It is certainly going to be an exciting time here in the Bolts Nation!

Well, now that the news is out, fans have started to take to Twitter to express their reactions to the newest member of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Here are some of their opinions.
