Tampa Bay Lightning – The Daily Bolt

Good afternoon, Bolts Nation! Welcome to today’s edition of The Daily Bolt where we bring you all the latest and greatest news and updates from not just here in the Bolts Nation, but around the entire world of hockey.

Today seems a bit mundane after the excitement this weekend when the Tampa Bay Lightning announced that they have extended the contract of Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop for another two years; however, I am sure that we can find a way to make it through the day.

We can always take comfort in the fact that another day off the calendar means that we’re another day closer to the start of the 2014-15 Tampa Bay Lightning hockey season.

Just in case there are those of you like me who have been counting the days, we are now just 66 days between now and the Tampa Bay Lightning Home Opener.

While we wait for the puck to drop on the new season, let’s take a look at what is going on around the National Hockey League today.
