The Tampa Bay Lightning open the doors to the Amalie Arena tonight to continue their long homestand and play host to the Montreal Canadiens.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are staring down the prospect of another very tough week ahead, and if they want to come home with the two points, they are seriously going to have to put some pep in their step.

While there are some who would like to blame the series of bad calls for the Lightning’s disappointing loss against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday night, we would have to disagree.

We do assert that there were some pretty questionable calls made throughout the course of the game, but ultimately it was the Lightning’s completely flat performance that led to their ultimate demise in what could have been an easy two points.

It was just under a week ago that the Lightning squared off with the Montreal Canadiens in what has widely been regarded as one of the best, and most complete games that the Tampa Bay Lightning has played so far this season.

As you can imagine, the Lightning will be looking to create some of the very same magic as they charge into the Amalie Arena tonight. Of course, after Saturday night’s chaotic implosion, they will have to do just that to get back on track.

The one thing that we can say about the Lightning this season is that they have definitely found a way to put the bad games out of their minds and focus on the task at hand. This is something that they have struggled with in the past, and it led to missing out on quite a few points that could have belonged to us.

At this point, we will take the same standpoint as the team, let’s put Saturday night’s debacle out of our minds and concentrate on the task at hand, or as Taylor Swift would say, “Shake It Off.”

Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop will be charged with protecting the pipes tonight against the onslaught of the Canadiens while Habs netminder Carey Price will be looking to do the same against the Lightning on his end of the ice.

We all saw what happened the last time that this matchup happened and we expect nothing less tonight.

This is going to be a high-octane game with lots of shots, hits, and everything you look for in a playoff-style hockey game. We are almost at crunch time here, and it is time to lay it all on the line. We know we don’t want to miss a single second of the action.

While we wait for all the action to get kicked up tonight, here’s a look at all the information you’ll need to make sure you don’t miss a moment of the action tonight as the Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Montreal Canadiens in an Atlantic Division showdown.
