The Tampa Bay Lightning officially clinched home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs with their 4-0 shutout win over the Florida Panthers. Here’s a look at your Three Stars of the Game.

The Tampa Bay Lightning put on one heck of a show tonight in Sunrise in their final game before they head home to the Amalie Arena to finish off the season with their final two games before the post season officially starts.

In that same win, the Tampa Bay Lightning accomplished so much more.

They finished off their season series against their in-state rival, which means that they have also successfully won the Governor’s Cup for the second year in a row.

This win also signifies a career high in single season wins for Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop, who picked up his 38th win and his 4th shutout of the season in tonight’s win.

All in all, with think it is safe to say that tonight’s outing was more than a successful one for our Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Lightning may have their place in the post season secured and home ice advantage acquired, but there is still plenty of work for the Tampa Bay Lightning this season. As we mentioned before, the Tampa Bay Lightning has two more games on the schedule before the post season begins.

The Lightning has four days off before they charge back into the Amalie Arena to take on the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night. Then, on Saturday they will come face to face with the Boston Bruins in the final game of the regular season.

A lot can change in one game, so it will be interesting to see what happens and how things play out as the final two games of the season unfold and the Tampa Bay Lightning prepare to embark on their 16 wins to glory journey that begins as soon as the regular season comes to a close.
