The Tampa Bay Lightning embark on their latest journey through the NHL Playoffs as they take on the New York Islanders at Amalie Arena.

The Tampa Bay Lightning may have entered the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs battered and bruised, but despite all the obstacles in their path, the Lightning have continued to come up big when it matters the most. The Tampa Bay Lightning finished off the Detroit Red Wings in five games; however, as they make their way into the Amalie Arena on Wednesday night, the Bolts will embark on the next stage in their Stanley Cup journey.

On Wednesday night, the Tampa Bay Lightning will charge into the Amalie Arena right here in the Sunshine State to kick off the Second Round of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs as they take on captain John Tavares and the New York Islanders. While the Lightning and the Islanders may not have the heated rivalry the Lightning have with the Detroit Red Wings, this is still bound to be an interesting series.

One of the most glaring differences between these two teams is their offensive structure. While the New York Islanders have one or two players who are dangerous in front of the net, the Tampa Bay Lightning have entire lines of players who can make plays happen out of nowhere and put the puck in the back of the net behind even the most elite goaltenders in the National Hockey League.
