What do the Tampa Bay Lightning players do with their night off in the Big Apple? Take in a Justin Bieber concert, of course!

The Tampa Bay Lightning has certainly been on a rollercoaster ride as of late. When the Lightning finished their series with the Detroit Red Wings, they knew they’d have a new challenge in front of them. However, what the Lightning may not have known at the time is how physical of a series they would be in for when they kicked off their series with the New York Islanders.

Thankfully, despite all of the challenges the team has been forced to deal with since the conclusion of the regular season, the Tampa Bay Lightning has continued to come up in a big way when it counted the most. Needless to say, after battling back and snatching the victory out of the hands of the New York Islanders on Tuesday night, giving the Lightning a 2-1 series lead, the boys in blue had earned themselves a night off.

Now, the question becomes what do a group of good looking young men do for fun while in the Big Apple? The answer to this question may surprise you; especially if you are older than the average 16-year-old girl.

If Tyler Johnson’s Instagram page is any indication of how the guys spent their evening, they found themselves back at the Barclays Center. The biggest difference is, this time, they have traded in their hockey sticks for concert tickets.

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen…some of our Boys in Blue have caught *gasp* Bieber fever! Yes, Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat, Cedric Paquette, and a few more of the guys decided to cut loose and take in Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose World Tour,’ which is sold out for both Wednesday and Thursday night at the Barclays Center.

As much as we would love to mock the ever-loving world out of him for this, we would be lying to you if we didn’t mention how incredibly adorable Vladislav Namestnikov looks in his Justin Bieber shirt.

Despite how much we may disagree with their choice in music, the important part is the guys look like they really had a good time, and after the way the team has fought to stay on top of the series they more than earned a night off in the city.

The only thing we hope is none of Justin Bieber’s bad hockey mojo rubbed off on the boys last night. We all know what happens when you let Justin Bieber into a hockey locker room.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have one more free night in New York City before they have to make their way back into the Barclays Center to take on the New York Islanders in what is sure to be a very physical Game 4. If the Lightning can capture some of the magic they found late in the third period of Game 3, there is a pretty good chance the Lightning will be facing down the opportunity to close out the series when they return home.
