The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived as the best and brightest players in the NHL descend upon Las Vegas for the 2016 NHL Awards.

The 2015-16 season may have finally reached its end, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of excitement left in the National Hockey League. Before the 30 teams in the National Hockey League turn their heads to the 2016 NHL Draft and the impending Free Agency Period, the best and brightest will make their way to Las Vegas for the 2016 NHL Awards.

The 2016 NHL Awards is where the best players in the National Hockey League are awarded for their efforts over the course of the season. While the Tampa Bay Lightning may have had their fair share of difficulties over the course of the season, there are still those who have stood strong and earned their right to make the trip to Sin City for one of hockey’s biggest nights.

Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop has been named as a finalist for the Vezina Trophy. The Vezina Trophy is awarded to goaltender who is “adjudged to be the best at this position.” Bishop is up against some tough competition tonight, but at the end of the day, there is no denying Bishop has been a tremendous asset to the Tampa Bay Lightning and is definitively one of the best goaltenders in the National Hockey League.

While we all sit back and watch how things play out in Sin City, let’s take a look at all the information you’ll need to make sure you don’t miss a moment of the action.

It’s going to be an exciting night. While the Tampa Bay Lightning only have one player in the house tonight, Ben Bishop is definitely deserving of the honor. If Lightning fans have their way, it will only be a matter of time before his name is called and he takes the stage and gets the recognition he deserves.
