EA Sports has recently released the ratings of the Top 10 Centers in NHL 17 and Tampa Bay Lightning center and Captain Steven Stamkos earned the 3rd spot.

As EA Sports prepares to release their latest version of their popular hockey series NHL 17 on September 13th, the game developer has released their list of the top rated centers in the game. Needless to say, Tampa Bay Lightning fans will be pretty excited to see who made the list.

Of course, who wouldn’t be happy to see their captain make the Top 3 in a list like this?

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen…Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos has been named in the Third Place position among the best centers in the National Hockey League according to EA Sports.

Steven Stamkos has been given a 94 overall rating and the 3rd spot on the top 10 list.  Citing his skating skills, hockey senses, shooting skills, and puck skills for this rating, Stamkos will be one of the top offensive players in the entire game.

To Lightning fans, this rating is of little surprise.  As a two-time Maurice “Rocket” Richards trophy recipient and having recorded one 50+ goal season and one 60 goal season, Steven Stamkos has arguably been the best offensive presence in the Bolts lineup since his draft in 2008.

Personally, I’m most excited to play as the 26-year-old sniper when the full game releases.  If you’re interested, you can take a look at the full top 10 list right here.
