The Tampa Bay Lightning have unveiled their new Adidas away jerseys and they look very familiar. This is because they’re an exact color invert of their home jerseys.
Just a few of you have asked about the away jersey...

Same design, same layout, inverted colors. While they look very similar to the Lightning’s home jerseys, they are very different from last year’s away jerseys.
Once again, these jerseys don’t have laces. Both the Lightning’s home and away jerseys had laces last year and now, neither of the Bolts jerseys will have them. These new away jerseys have also removed the “Tampa Bay” lettering above the Bolts logo that was featured last year. The only writing on either jersey now is the player’s names.
Overall, they seem kind of bland. As mentioned previously, no NHL teams will have third jerseys for this upcoming season. As the Lightning won’t be in a Stadium Series game, these are the only two jerseys we’ll see all season.
Fan reaction to the new jerseys has been very mixed. Some like the changes, and some hate them.
Clean and simple, dig it.

That's awful. Why would you remove the "Tampa Bay" lettering and the laces. Come on. pic.twitter.com/dLiYFCTVXS

No laces? No "Tampa Bay" floating over the logo? PERFECT.

Fair Point.

Love them or hate them, the new home and away jerseys will most likely be around for a while. These jerseys are simple, sleek, and minimalistic, which is hard to go wrong with. Now, the countdown begins for the unveiling of the Lightning’s new third jerseys next season.
