Dolly Reynolds (Lead Writer) – Dolly was born in Hawai’i, but has been in Tampa Bay since she was a baby. She grew up always being involved with sports. Played basketball and football. Not many opportunities for hockey in Florida pre 1990′s. Then Phil Esposito changed her life forever when he decided to bring The Tampa Bay Lightning to Tampa. She was at the first home game and was instantly drawn to the sport. She’s been a Lightning fan since the beginning, loss or win, thick and thin she bleeds Bolt Blue. She’s always loved to take pictures and write sports articles, mystery novels, and articles for patriotic organizations. The opportunity to mix her two passions of hockey and writing for the sport that she loves is a dream come true! She has a goal of going back to school for Sports Journalism, Sports Media, and Sports Photography. You can email her personally at [email protected] and follow her on Twitter @huladolly
Lora Andrews (Staff Writer) – Lora started enjoying hockey around the age of 16. She never pictured herself as a writer, but always enjoyed it in high school. Recently, writing just “clicked” for her when she started to briefly write about local music. Lora’s love for the Tampa Bay Lightning and her skillful writing helped her get the opportunity to write for Bolts By The Bay. Her current occupation as a stay-at-home mom gives her more than enough time to keep pursuing her love for writing. You can email Lora directly at [email protected], and follow her on twitter @Electrifying.
James Courteau (Staff Writer) - I was born and raised on the southern side of Tampa Bay in Bradenton, FL but currently residing in Texas. #beRELENTLESS [email protected] @BlackSheepJim
Gabriel Moreta (Staff Writer) - I live in Kissimmee, Florida, which is basically the suburb of Orlando. I am very talkative, and can make a conversation out of just about anything. My favorite player is Steven Stamkos. I love his performances on the ice and his contributions off of it; I think he is a role model for anyone, even those who aren’t hockey fans. I never ever hesitate to input my opinion on a topic, but I do so carefully so I do not offend anyone. I also am open to any disagreements. I plan to attend the University of South Florida after I graduate high school this year. I will study Mass Communications, and will hopefully become a sports reporter/journalist. My idol is ESPN’s Colin Cowherd. I have two personal goals: Make someone smile every day, and suck up as much knowledge as possible. Find me on Twitter: @Gabriel0430
Mia Lueth (Staff Writer) - Mia’s the eldest of the Bolts By The Bay clan, hoping to turn the big “Lordy, Lordy, Look Who’s 40″ this year. She has multiple college degrees: psychology, animal behavior (ethology)and physiology/bioscience to name three. She’s attended several colleges/universities such as John Hopkin’s and Towson University. Her travels have been far and wide, but her true love has, is and will always be the NHL. She attended her first NHL game before the age of two, but grew up in Northeastern, MD where folks don’t care much for talk of hockey. She has been paid to train & develop people who carry weapons and to take photos and videos of anything from freshly hatched sea turtles making their way to the ocean to high-profile events like NFL games. Her work as experience includes managemet, technology, administration and whatever else people are willing to pay her to do, including consult with goalies. Currently, Mia is homeless. Gasp, yes, homeless. She is, however, quite resourceful and loves her some Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey, so she now writes about them for free and since she herself is a natural born goalie having been an athelete since childhood and is as some say “goalie weird”, she would probably even pay to write about the Bolts. To Mia, there is no love like hockey love. You can find out more by visiting her main personal blog at http://singingfromthecrease.wordpress.com. Also, she is some sort of music fanatic and quite musical herself. If you want to hear her sing you can find the link on her personal blogs or try to invade her space when she’s womanning a net (she’s old and has broken many bones, so you’ll probably score). So far, Mia has given the old “screw you” to cancer twice and hope to keep on keepin’ on for a bit. @creasesinger
Joe Dolce (Staff Writer) - I was born Long Island, NY where my love of hockey was born during the 80′s during the New York Islanders Cup-winning dynasty era. My love of hockey continued while living out in Los Angeles, CA during the 90′s. While living out there, I would follow the Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, and Anaheim Ducks. My love was confirmed when I learned Tampa Bay was getting their own hockey club. I followed the Lightning as much as the California teams until I moved to Tampa in 1999. The rest is history, and my passion always lies with all-things Lightning. You can follow me @protettore07 on Twitter, and email me a [email protected]
