The Tampa Bay Lightning had their five game winning streak snapped by The Winnipeg Jets. Tonight they look to take on our in-state rivals The Florida Panthers. The cats come out of the litter box and in to Bolt Nation territory. Here’s a quick recap of the last game and a preview of tonight’s. Why do we do these previews? Steven Stamkos Deserves More Recognition

AUTHOR: | IN: Lightning, Opinion | COMMENTS: None Yet

It’s days before Steven Stamkos‘ 22nd birthday, and I sit here pondering why he doesn’t receive the recognition he deserves. It’s no mystery that Stamkos is the best player the Tampa Bay Lightning has, but in my opinion, he’s the best player currently in the NHL. His numbers speak volumes, and I don’t feel that he’s recognized as much as the other ‘elite’ players in the NHL. When you think of the best young players of the NHL, a few names come to mind. Some of the names you may think of are SidneyCrosby or even Alex Ovechkin. Love them or hate them, they’re still considered some [...]

TAMPA, FL – The Tampa Bay Lightning returned to action Tuesday night to host the Washington Capitals and picked up right where they left off prior to the All-Star break in a 4-3 overtime victory in front of the 17,754 in attendance. Washington’s Matt Hendricks drew first blood with a backhanded shot past Mathieu Garon after receiving a sweeping pass from Brooks Laich sprawled out on the ice. “Wonderful second effort to get the puck over to me,” said Hendricks. “I don’t know if it jumped or if I just missed the puck, but I knew he (Laich) and Brouwer [...]
