Daughter of Lightning founder and NHL Hall Of Famer Phil Esposito, Carrie Esposito Selivanov, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 from an unknown illness. She passed away in Germany where she was residing with her family. She leaves behind her husband, former NHLer and Tampa Bay Lightning player Alex Selivanov, and three children, Dylan (18), Nikko (13) and Rocco (10). NHLPA Does Not Consent to Realignment Plan
Recently announced, the National Hockey League Player’s Association (NHLPA) has refused to agree to the proposed realignment plan approved by the NHL Board of Governors. What does this mean? After the beating they took Thursday night at the hands of the defending Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins, losing 9-0, it was expected that the Calgary Flames would have to start moving some players around.
