Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman made a surprising move today by acquiring Jean-Francois Jacques from the Florida Panthers in exchange for future considerations. Jacques was drafted by the Oilers in the second round, 68^th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He played in 166 career NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks, recording 9 goals and 17 points to go along with 197 penalty minutes. Last season Jacques appeared in six games with the Ducks and collected 12 penalty minutes. He played in 24 games this season with the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage, netting 5 goals and 7 points to go along with 37 penalty minutes. He is tied for first on the Rampage with three power play goals. Jacques is a 27 year old,  6-foot-3, 231-pound left winger.
