As you know, the Tampa Bay Lightning are preparing to unveil a brand new third jersey at Lightning Fan Fest this weekend. Obviously, there are people – like the players – who get a peek at things like this prior to the rest of us here in the Bolts Nation.

Unfortunately, the Lightning organization used this knowledge to play a pretty dirty, and incredibly hilarious, trick on some of the players prior to Fan Fest. Of course, they had to video tape the entire thing so we can all laugh mercilessly at them as they squirm.
If you were in attendance at the game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Dallas Stars at the Amalie Arena tonight, you got to see this first hand on the big screen.
In the video, which you can see below, a couple of the younger Lightning players make their way into the equipment room where what is purported to be the new third jersey is lying on the table.
While I will admit that there is at least a small part of me that wished that this was in fact the new third jersey, the other part of me thinks that this looks like one of those Christmas sweaters that you can only find somewhere like the Sunshine State.
You just have to take a look for yourselves!
We think it’s pretty safe to say that the only one of the players who would probably have bought one of these jerseys is Radko Gudas. Then, there would always be people like me who would buy one just because.
While we know it’s not, what would you do if that was in fact the new Tampa Bay Lightning third jersey? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
