The Tampa Bay Lightning may have clinched their spot in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, but there is still plenty of work to be done before the first post season puck drops.
The Tampa Bay Lightning are coming off of a really big night last night. Not only did the Lightning complete the season sweep of the Montreal Canadiens for the first time in franchise history, but they also clinched their spot in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Unfortunately for the Tampa Bay Lightning, they don’€™t have a whole lot of time to sit back and celebrate their rather large victory. Instead, they have to lace up their skates and be ready to hit the ice once again as the Lightning head into the Air Canada Centre to take on Phil Kessel and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
So far this season, the Tampa Bay Lightning has only dropped one game to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and it was their very first encounter against one another this season, which was all the way back on November 20th.
The Tampa Bay Lightning may have clinched their spot in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, but as we said before, there is still plenty of work to do before the final buzzer sounds on the regular season and the first puck drops in the post season.

After last night’s win over Montreal, we are just one point behind the Habs. This means that there is a real possibility that the Lightning could shift into first place in the Atlantic Division before all is said and done.
This means that the Lightning need to maintain their focus, keep their feet on the gas, and give every game for the rest of the season the intensity that they showed last night against Carey Price and the Canadiens.
