The Tampa Bay Lightning charge back into the Amalie Arena tonight to take on the New York Rangers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Tampa Bay Lightning may not have laid out the 6-2 rout of the New York Rangers that they did in Game 2, but the heroics of the Triplet Line in overtime ended up being exactly what the Lightning needed to bring home a win in Game 3. Now, with a 2-1 series lead, the Tampa Bay Lightning is ready to do it all over again.

Despite the desire to scream and shout at their most recent victory, the Lightning must put Game 3 far behind them and concentrate at the new task at hand; extending their series lead to 2 in Game 4. There are just a few things that the Lightning will need to tie up in order to do this.

The defense is going to have to step up their game in Game 4. While we completely understand that the Lightning were a little shaken up after defenseman Matt Carle was forced to exit the game just about the halfway point in the first period after a hard collision with Rangers, but they cannot continue to lean on Ben Bishop to get the job done. We all know how that turns out.

Also, the Tampa Bay Lightning seems to be falling face first into the penalty box once again with a plethora of completely unavoidable penalties. As you can see, this came back to bite the Bolts in the behind on Wednesday night as the Rangers were able to capitalize on two of their four opportunities on the Power Play.

While these may both be minor corrections that need to be made, the post season is the place where even the most minor of details can lead a team to victory or lead them down the road to utter defeat. The Tampa Bay Lightning has come way too far to back down now, so we need to tie up all our loose ends and prepare for battle.

Every single game this series has proven to be an exciting rollercoaster ride for not only the players, but the fans as well. We expect that Game 4 will not disappoint in that manner. Here is a look at all the information you’ll need to make sure you don’t miss a single second of the action tonight between the Lightning and the Rangers at Amalie Arena here in Hockey Paradise.
