Before we get started, let it be known that in a sport like hockey there are always going to be injuries; whether it comes from a cheap shot from an opposing player or a simple mistake that turned out worse than originally expected. This is an unfortunate side effect of playing a contact sport.
If there is anything that we have learned in our time loving the greatest sport on Earth (hockey, of course) we have learned that hockey players are some of the toughest guys around. Towards the beginning of the Stanley Cup Finals, Tampa Bay Lightning fans noticed that not only did Tyler Johnson seemingly stop scoring goals, but he also stopped taking faceoffs; something Johnson generally excels at. As we have alluded to before, players of Johnson’s quality don’t just decide to stop playing.
