Tampa Bay Lightning Players Prepare For 2015-16 Season

As the 2015-16 season quickly approaches, we take a look at what some of our favorite Tampa Bay Lightning players have been doing in the off-season and what they’re doing to prepare for the season ahead.

It may seem like a never-ending journey that has been sent from the depths of hell with the sole intent of torturing hockey fans around the world, but unbeknownst to popular belief the off-season is almost over and our favorite players are about to hit the ice once again.

Those of us here in the Bolts Nation received a little bit of help in the off-season torture department. Our off-season was significantly shorter than some of the teams in the National Hockey League thanks to the Tampa Bay Lightning’s outstanding run towards the Stanley Cup Finals.

As things begin to wind down and the Lightning prepares to regroup and take another shot at hoisting Lord Stanley’s Cup high above their heads, we here at Bolts By The Bay thought it would be fun to take a look at what some of our favorite players are up to, how they have kept themselves busy during the off-season, and what they are doing to prepare for the new season.

It comes as no surprise that Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos has already got into the gym and is grinding away so that he can be in tip top shape when the season kicks off and start working on his next Rocket Richard Trophy.

Another player that has been hitting the gym already is young Tampa Bay Lightning left wing Jonathan Drouin. Hopefully, his off-season work ethic translates to a big season on the ice.

It seems as if Jason Garrison has some new skates for the new season. Having solid equipment is an essential part of a successful season. Maybe someone could pass along that message to all of the sticks Victor Hedman shattered last season.

There are some Tampa Bay Lightning players who have taken advantage of the time off and ventured back home for some good old fashioned relaxation.

That is definitely an amazing view Victor Hedman has from his hometown of Ornskoldsvik, Sweden.

Tampa Bay Lightning star center Tyler Johnson finally got the chance to take in a Seattle Seahawks game as he took a trip home to Washington.

Now, we have a look at J.T. Brown and his beautiful fur babies. We don’t know about you, but we would spend most of our day pampering his adorable furry friends.

Apparently, Brian Boyle’s fantasy football advice did not quite sink in for his little brother. You can only guide them so far…then they must fly on their own; even if it does lead them to draft Johnny Football in their fantasy league.

Last, but certainly not least, we have a look at the interesting ride that Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Andrej Sustr picked up in order to hit the gym with his buddy Alex Killorn.

We are sure that there are plenty more off-season adventures that we didn’t cover, but the good news is that in just a matter of weeks the Tampa Bay Lightning will be taking the ice once again and all will be right in the kingdom once again.
