Let’s take a look at some of the headlines that are making their way across the Bolts Nation that may be of interest to Tampa Bay Lightning fans.

The off-season is about to come to a close. In just a few short weeks, our favorite Boys in Blue will be hitting the ice at the Amalie Arena once again as the Bolts Nation files into their seats and bring the Thunder all over again. While the off-season may be coming to a close, there is no shortage of interesting news making it’s way around the Bolts Nation.

The headline that is on the top of everyone’s mind is whether or not Tampa Bay Lightning Steven Stamkos has signed his contract yet or not. Well, the one thing we can tell you with all certainty is that there has been no movement as of yet. Before everyone has a heart attack and wonders why the captain hasn’t signed on the dotted line yet, allow us to assure you that the world is not coming to an end.

Have you ever heard the old adage “Good things come to those who wait”? Well…Steven Stamkos is not losing any sleep over the status of his new contract, so why should you? If you read the article we posted earlier this afternoon, you will see that Stamkos is not only confident that everything will take care of itself, but that it will happen when the time is right.

We completely understand that some of us may be nervous. It is a natural reaction when one of the team’s biggest stars’ contracts comes up for renewal. Just remember that we have been through this once before and came out on the winning side and there is nothing at the moment that should stop that same result from happening again.

Moving on to a much more light-hearted subject, with the start of the National Hockey League season comes a whole new season of Fantasy Hockey. As everyone prepares to set their lineups, there are always questions on who they should draft first, who will have the best upside, and who will get them the best value for their investment.

As the Tampa Bay Lightning prepare to hit the ice for the new season, so do their friends at the Lightning’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch. The Crunch has officially announced their schedule for the upcoming 2015-16 season. In their 76 game season, the Crunch will play 38 games at home in the Oncenter War Memorial Arena and 38 games on the road.

Out of the ashes of the 2014-15 season, a new star (or should we say set of stars) has made a name for themselves not only here with the Tampa Bay Lightning, but throughout the entire National Hockey League. Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat, and Nikita Kucherov – who have become known as “The Triplets” to Tampa Bay Lightning fans – took the league by storm last season and proving that youth has its advantages.

Former Bolts By The Bay Staff Writer Dan Herrejon put together an interesting look at how the trio performed last season, what they need to do to take things to the next level, and a sneak peek at what we can expect from them next season. We don’t know about you, but based on what we witnessed from the Lightning’s “2nd Line” last season we have a pretty good feeling that the next level is not out of reach for these young players.

As we mentioned before, the end of the off-season is still a few weeks away; however, as the time ticks off of the clock we get closer and closer to the first puck drop of the season. Soon, the Tampa Bay Lightning players will be making their way back to Tampa for training camp and the beginning of the preseason.

The real question that we pose to you is, are you ready to file into the Amalie Arena and Be The Thunder once more?
