Tyler Johnson Accused Of Helping Woman Cheat On Jimmy Kimmel Live (Video)

Tampa Bay Lightning center Tyler Johnson has been accused of helping a woman cheat on her boyfriend on last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Anyone who has ever watched a moment of reality television knows there are people in this world who will say anything for their fifteen minutes in the spotlight and their chance to be recognized on a much larger scale.

Unfortunately, sometimes people don’t quite think about the repercussions their actions may have on other people who are unwillingly involved. There is one Tampa Bay Lightning star who is trapped in this very situation as we speak, Tyler Johnson.

On last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC, Kimmel spoke about who this is the week when the Nobel Prizes are handed out. He went on to speak about how some of the greatest minds in science, literature, medicine, and peace are honored for their achievements in their respective categories.

As you can imagine, he went on to mention those whose achievements weren’t really that great. This is when they took to the street and asked your average, everyday pedestrian about the most impressive thing they’ve ever done. Needless to say, there were all kinds of wild answers here.

We heard about everything from marrying (and later divorcing) his first wife, rescuing a cat, devouring one of those incredibly large burgers and getting their picture hung on the wall of the restaurant, and even someone’s exploits of their senior prank, but it was the last person they spoke to that has some of us here in the Bolts Nation scratching their heads.

In the last interview of the segment, the camera turns its lens to a rather pretty blonde woman. She is surprisingly quick to say the most impressive thing she’s ever done is cheat on her boyfriend without him knowing. (Sounds like a real winner, right?) When the unidentified woman is pressed as to why she would do something like this, she flippantly says that it was with a famous athlete.

As you can imagine, the interviewer wants to know more. They press her for his name, but she refuses to say their name outright. Still digging for information, the interviewer asks her to give them his initials to which she replies “T.J.” Next in the line of questioning is which sport he plays. Again, she wastes no time in replying hockey. This can’t possibly be good, can it?

The obvious question to come next in this particular line of questioning is which team he plays for. Initially, she replies with Florida. Unfortunately, it is only a second before that sigh of relief we all released comes rushing back into our lungs when she corrects herself and says Tampa Bay. Before anyone even knew what was going on, a picture of Tyler Johnson was on the screen.

While the full video has since been made private on YouTube by the official Jimmy Kimmel Live page, here is a look at the interview with the woman in question.

As we mentioned before, this cannot possibly end well for anyone.

Before everyone gets all excited here, let us go on the record by saying there is absolutely no proof that Tyler Johnson had anything whatsoever to do with this woman. In fact, other than quickly saying she had to go, she never actually said Tyler Johnson’s name. For all we know, this woman could be nothing more than one of those aforementioned people looking for their fifteen minutes of fame.

Also, there are no details on when this supposed encounter actually occurred (if it occurred at all) or whether or not Johnson was even aware the woman in question was already taken. Again…that is if this encounter ever actually happened.

If you ask us, this is something that should be taken with a grain of salt. There is absolutely no facts (at this time) to support this woman’s claim and until proven otherwise, should be tucked away in our memory banks never to be thought of again.

On the bright side, the 2015-16 Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Season starts in t-minus two days. Once the puck drops and our Boys in Blue get down to business, this silly interview will be a long lost memory. The Tampa Bay Lightning will be looking to reach their date with destiny once again by returning to the Stanley Cup Finals. If they have their way, Lord Stanley will be working on his tan once again.
