Unfortunately, that streak was put to an end by the hard-hitting Philadelphia Flyers. Tonight, the Tampa Bay Lightning has an opportunity to get a little retribution as they take on the Philadelphia Flyers in their third and final meeting of the regular season.
There is no denying the Philadelphia Flyers simply outplayed the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night. At the same time, despite getting a loss on Tuesday night against the Boston Bruins, the Tampa Bay Lightning played a pretty good game. The Bolts definitely brought the offensive pressure, outshooting the Bruins 42-32 through three periods of play.
If the Tampa Bay Lightning can find a way to convert on even a quarter of the opportunities they had on Tuesday night against the Bruins, the Philadelphia Flyers would be scrambling for any means possible to quell the Lightning’s offensive pressure.
The Tampa Bay Lightning has beaten the Philadelphia Flyers in the past. In fact, the Lightning defeated the Flyers 3-2 in overtime at the Tampa Bay Lightning’s Home Opener on October 8, 2015. As anyone here in the Bolts Nation knows, they can certainly do it again.
